Birthday Surprise for Obi

On 18 Jan 2009, we brought a birthday surprise gift for Obi whose birthday falls just a few days earlier.

All 3 of us went over before going for my walk. And Obi's sense of smell is so strong, he couldn't stop trying to grab the present from Wanzi & his owner's hands... Here's the goodies:

My walk to East Coast Park

As usual, Liam & Wanzi brought me out this weekend to East Coast Park. It's the first weekend of 2009, first trip to East Coast Park of the year! Same place yet again, but no complains from me! (^_^)v

Now that Liam has started working in Dec last year, i've been getting lesser walks. In the past, i get to walk almost daily except during raining days. Now, i get to be walked at least once a week. Only *period*. So i must treasure my walks and sniff as much as possible! <--- One of my new year resolutions! Hah! On our way to the park, a sign that was supposed to show "No Riding. Fine: $1000" for offenders who rode on the overhead bridge.

Liam: 3 furry cats looked at Mino, from the moment we were in sight. Their eyes following us around, so cute!

Wanzi: 3 cute cats were looking @ Mino. So we decided to take a picture of Mino and the cats, but they have decided to ignore us. All looked away~ (T_T)

New Year's Eve & Happy New Year's Day~!

Happy New Year to you!
How did you spent your NYE? Liam's friends came over to our place and... ...

Wanzi brought me out for an hour's walk whilst Liam had to be at home as his friends were coming over!
So many guests came and I AM the star of attention... Plus, endless playing and "FOOD IS EVERYWHERE". The only obstacle is getting it from them~ *heehee*

Wanzi: Little Mino got soooooo excited as she was getting attention from everyone~ kept barking and barking... ran around the house, jumping sofa to sofa, bit us when she played a little too rough. And even got herself punished by Liam for being so disobedient. Poor Mino... I'm sure the 5 mins punishment felt sooooo long. She just showed everyone her pity look... Awwwww

Mino: After counting down to New Year's Day, Liam opened up a NEW TOY for me! YEAH!!!!!

At that very moment when Liam got the toy opened, my attention was on his friends who were eating~ he called for me and with no reaction after several calls, he placed it on the floor... FINALLY after a few secs later, i grabbed the toy and turned on the "Do not disturb" mode~

Liam: She was really distracted that day, usually she would try to snatch the toy from me while i was getting it out and the moment i got it opened. This time round, i HAD to get her attention~ *LoL*

Wanzi: As usual, Mino's routine is to grab the toy, go to a corner or a spot and start playing the toy by herself. "Do not disturb" mode turned on as no matter how we try to get her attention, she would ignore us... ... unless there's FOOD! After she played enough, she will bring her new toy to you.... asking us to play with her! *CUTE*

It's a BEAGLE day~

Hi everybody~
It's Mino posting today. Liam and Wanzi brought me out as usual, long walks on the weekends.



First stop was at my fellow beagle friend (whom they called him my boyfriend) Obi's place for a gathering~

The Red Basket...

haha u guys know those red baskets that comes with gift hampers? one day, mino wandered to my room looking all dazed found the basket and decided to make herself comfy with all the rough papers inside.............zzzzzzZZZZZZzzzzz.... she seems very comfortable even though the basket seemed too small for her...

Annual Vaccination

taddda...nap time!!! sorry doc u have to wait.....
fell asleep waiting for her turn...surprised the injection was like less than 1 sec..anyway was told by the doc she may get feverish and lethargic after the vaccination...and after a few hours, i think the jab caused her hind leg to be sore or sth as she became "moodified" and cranky the whole afternoon....

Still energetic after an hour's long walk

Mino: Today, i had an hour plus long walk. Liam & Wanzi brought me to a pet store, bought me treats + new toy + jeans jumper!!

But the naughty & excited me couldn't wait to get home and eat my new treats!!! I just tugged my way home! Woof woof!


Wanzi: Little Mino was still super energetic after the walk... she went into one of the rooms and started on her "hunting & sniffing" mode. Busy going through each and every corner of the room, even the bag of rubbish was also not spared...


Wanzi: Liam was working on to frame his precious Manchester United picture of many many many years ago. While he turned to get something, Mino who was sniffing around nearby, (most probably waiting patiently for the chance)... turned around and reached out for it!
Liam: NOooOooOO! CannoOooOooT!!!!
p.s.: We try not to tell her "No!", rather we try to use the word "Cannot". In case she thinks we are calling her when we say "No!"


Liam: After the failed attempt, she continued her sniffing adventure... attempting to appreciate the wines~
Mino: So boring! Nothing to bite~! Nothing to chew~! Nothing to eat~!
Liam & Wanzi: The truth is... she got tired from all the hunting and sniffing, she took a quick rest... before continuing round 2.

Man United Fan (Part 3)

Liam got up at 4am to watch a Man United match against Celtic on 6/11/08. Guess what?!
Little Mino got up too... Liam let her out of her bed, for her to walk around. Instead she went over to him, snuggled beside and watched with him~
So sweet of her! Unfortunately, the match drew at 1-1.

Liam: Nope, she wasn't wearing her Man United jersey~ Lol!

Wanzi's trip to Taiwan

Wanzi was away for a week, she went to Taipei (P.s: for her Arashi, she flew to Taipei!!! Gosh!). Sadly, she didn't bring me along (Else, i would have told Nino that "I'm Mino"!).
She misses me sooo much and showed my photos to her friends during her gatherings. They all agreed that i'm too cute! (Arghz, she told them i can be a monster sometimes) T_T

Thankfully, i got presents from her too! That's the first thing she bought in Taipei! Furthermore, she had to buy these toys! The beagle on the tag reminds her of me... Do we really look alike?That's me with a bit of Liam in the picture!

Beagle puppies

On 26/10/08, Liam & Wanzi went to Pet Safari @ Simei to see the mini beagle puppies. They adopted me when i was turning one and all they have is one little pic of me while i was younger...

Imagine 2 grown ups, squatting by the glass panel... going "goo goo gaa gaa" over the 2 beagles puppies... "Awww so cute etc"... I'm so jealous obviously!

Liam & Wanzi: Hey Mino! That's because we've never seen a real beagle puppy with our very own eyes, nor held it in our hands before... we can't help thinking how is Mino like when she was younger? Is she a terrorist like she is now?! Oops! Kidding~

Time for Mino's nap~! She slept between the sofas... and i caught her catching a wink! Ain't she adorable!!! (^_^)b After her dinner that day, Wanzi allowed her "occasional roams" beyond the living and dining room... she ran straight to Liam's brother room (Batman)... and she pee-ed on Batman's bed shortly after! This is the 2nd time it happened... the first time was during the week Wanzi was away in Taiwan!

Wanzi's conclusion: Mino is being nice, she wanted to teach Batman to slp at the correct time, like her. So the solution was... ... ... the rest is history!

Lol i just gotta post these pictures... she doesnt seem to struggle at all when bathing... even during drying when i put her on a stool to blow dry her using a hairdryer, she would calmly be in a sit position while i comb n dry her... but she still doesnt like the sea....

SPCA World Animal Day - Paws at the Beach

In conjunction with World Animal Day, SPCA organised this Paws at the Beach event to create public awareness against responsible pet ownership. Event was held at East Coast Park on 5 Oct. Luckily the morning rain stopped and we were able to walk to ECP.
This St Benard is HUUUUUGE!! a star attraction at the event.. everyone snapping away...

Mino: No, don't punish me! I wun eat cotton from my bed and bite the sofa again! Wait, i never what!#$% why u trap me in this red vest?

Liam: Kukuduuku thinks i am punishing her. look at her tail...=p got this vest from Man Utd Megastore online. plan to bring her out on match days with early kick off.

Here's Mino's toy box as of 2008-09-20. We bought a new toy for her today. Guess which one?

Wanzi: She was barking for a toy to play with.

Finally, she has decided. Coincidentally, that's the new toy we bought her today. Unfortunately, we've opened the donut toy today, so we saved it for another time!

Mino: It's alright. I'll destroyed the donut and play with my new toys!!! =p

Wanzi: Fyi, donut toy destroyed in less than 5 mins. Liam's maid mended the "hole" (see link below for pic) and least it lasted... a few more days.

Supper @ Chai Chee & HK Cafe

2008-09-17

Liam & Wanzi brought me out for supper. My first late night outing, by the time i got home... it was already 12.45am.

They went to eat 'Chai Chee Bah Chor Mee', I had ice treats *doggyliciously cold* from them.

It's alright that no one gave me anything to eat. I found a fish cake on the floor myself. Eyeing it... but no matter how i tried (See i was perched 45degrees forward), the stupid leash had me near Liam. Fish cake got cleared shortly after. *Sobs*

I tried my last bit of effort to lick anything off the table, ended up with nothing plus entangled with my own leash. *whine*

Mino and Batman

Liam: I m going to tell u all a very big secret. Batman is not Bruce Wayne!! Batman is my brother. I came to this conclusion because he wakes up only in the night, comes home in the morning and sleeps thruout the day. must be all the crime fightin in the night. in a bid to wake 'batman' to eat his dinner, i sent sidekick mino on a secret mission to wake batman from his batcave.

her eyes totally fixated on the ice cream. sorry but u cant eat that....=p oooh and check out her new burberry pattern leather collar that i bought from ebay. petshops in sg really charge some really high prices for their collars.

Time to Shower!

1st time bath mino by myself. maybe the sink looks too dangerous, but she didnt struggle one bit throughout the shower.! after that put her on a stool and use a hair dryer with cool function to dry her. no struggles also! fed her *buah duku (a fruit) becos she so well behaved. rather, she could be very very scared. lol

Well you see, Wanzi is crazy (i mean "in love") with this japanese boyband name "Arashi". Arashi consists of 5 handsome boys and one of them is call "Ninomiya Kazunari", fans call him "Nino".

Then Liam pokes at Wanzi: "Lucky she is Mino, not Nino. Else, we gotta find (the rest of Arashi members) Ohno, Sho, Aiba & Jun".
Wanzi: @#$#%$^&&^* "Well, beagles live in packs anyway!" =p

Unleashed~ Ironic or Coincidence?!

Wanzi: On sunday 14/09/08, Liam and I brought Mino out for a walk. As usual, she would either freeze still or tug to leave whenever she is near any dog (regardless of it's size).

During the walk, we saw a female beagle from the next block. We stopped and greeted each other and Mino was trying to get away. All the time Mino was tugging away from me and the beagle... Suddenly, Mino started running away. I was left there, alone with her leash! Thanks to her petite size, she just squeezed herself off the leash!! Immediately, i went chasing after her. She stopped when i caught up with her, put on her leash~

Ironically (or coincidentally), Liam and I went for a movie the next day. This trailer came on and i just couldn't stop laughing. The scene was almost the same except that I was the one holding the leash, the music wasn't right for the mood... & it was MINO~

Lehman Brothers Collapse = No Food.

16 Sep 2008, as superpower US heads into a recession, it was on the morning news that banking giant Lehman Brothers had collapsed. This may be too big of a collapse which will worsen the already badly hit capital market. coincidentally and worryingly, it was Mino's 1st time that she didnt finish up her kibbles meal as news were flurrying during her breakfast time. did she sense the looming grey clouds that may be cast upon the whole world?

Nonetheless, i hope that it was one of her tantrums and resume eating during dinner. my maid says she is looking for her baby carrots. otherwise, it would mean that the whole entire bag of 15 kg kibbles has some problem (maybe worms, but i couldnt find any.)

I'm a RED DEVIL~!!!

Today, wanzi came to pick me up for walk when Mr. Sun has gone home. It was dark outside and my first walk so late into the night. She brought me to a cafe near our place called "JK Don Cafe & Bar" and i met Liam there. I greeted him and then i realized that both of them are wearing white tops with a huge "AIG" written across.

Liam was so happy because his fav team scored a goal! After i checked-out the area they were at, i started to enjoy myself too. Seeing that i was so well-behaved, i had a treat! Yummy! Then i overheard liam telling wanzi that "Mino is a gd girl, we can bring her out more often!"

Time passes and i started to get a little bored. I got occassional attention from Liam's friends but i just lay there and rest. Wanzi brought me for a short walk and i sniffed all the way. After i returned from my walk, the guys from other side of the cafe started shouting happily. I wondered what happened... but Liam and friends looked sad.

After a while later, the guys on the other side got excited again. I started barking at the television. Wanzi and liam calmed me down and she then turned to me and said "Next time when Man United score a goal, you can say 'ooooh ooooh'."

So it's called Man United, and they were waiting for a goal! Sadly, they lost the match today. Don't worry, they will win the trophies! Because Mino is now a RED DEVIL ...
